Z-Lab
is a PC/Server based laboratory information system with a split
personality.
One version of Z-Lab is designed to give the independent reference laboratory the computing power of a national reference
lab at a fraction of the cost. The second version is
designed for use in a physician's private practice laboratory.
The lab has a choice of user interfaces. There is a GUI
browser based interface, as well as a traditional character
based interface. You may use either or both simultaneously.
Both the reference lab version and the physician office version
are robust in the features provided.
As well as Order Entry, Results Entry and Worklist Processing,
both systems provide multiple formats for reporting
results, including cumulative result reports. Reports may be
printed to local printers or sent via modem to remote printers
at client locations.
Additional features include generation of barcode labels for
specimens and complete QC recording and reporting. You
control definition of test, worklist and normal values.
Interfacing to laboratory instruments, billing systems,
physician office ordering systems is an integral part of both
systems.
